Congratulations to #blissbride Kristine and her new husband Anthony! They were married September 24, 2021 in the Thousand Islands!!

About the dress & shopping at Bliss:

I’d like to recap my experience at Bliss Bridal.  I’d been to 5 boutiques in 7 days.  Bliss Bridal was my last hope, my last stop and a 4-hour drive through a snowstorm.  We were ‘under the gun’ due to everyone’s favorite word, COVID.  Walking into Bliss was refreshing. It’s a cool, hip, beautiful place with another boutique for other shopping!

I was greeted by Lori who had read the details I had sent beforehand, but had some news, the exact dress I wanted wasn’t in their line-up. I was surprised, I was used to this (it wasn’t in anyone’s line-up). We walked the floor together and looked at some all the options.  That’s when it happened!  Lori realized the exact dress I wanted was on the rack, in my size! She grabbed the dress and my adrenaline started pumping! Was this real?! I yelled, “Lori, let’s go”! I ran to my dressing room, thinking I had to beat another bride there, but thankfully, I did not.  Lori had my dress and was right behind me.

I didn’t believe them – when they say you cry when you find “the dress” and “you just know.”  The only time I cried was when other boutiques literally STUFFED me into other dresses that were way too small (in wedding dress world, I’m a size 12). I also didn’t have that moment when I just knew it was the dress. Most times (at other boutiques) I felt confused, pressured and was being told to go for something I didn’t think I wanted.  BUT I knew exactly what I wanted!

Lori helped me into my dress and opened the curtain.  I stepped up on the pedestal, took one look in the mirror and I cried! I literally couldn’t help myself and I cried.  I had found it; thee dress! With the perfect cathedral veil to match.  I remember walking through the boutique to their super large mirror and feeling like as if I had just conquered the biggest feat.  This will sound unbelievable, but our song played as I walked around (Closer by The Chainsmokers).  I started to cry again! As if all of that wasn’t enough, I was able to pick all my bridesmaid dresses right then and there at Bliss Boutique. Two major things OFF my list!

About the finishing touches:

A few months later, when my dress came and I went to pick it up, the owner Jess helped me find my shower, bachelorette and rehearsal dresses and shoes in Bliss Boutique! I even bought all my wedding jewelry there!  If you are searching for a dress, jewelry, and all of the above, don’t panic.  It’ll all come together, and I hope you have the experience like I did at Bliss!  I still have the picture I took with Lori from Bliss that day! I so relieved Lori had us take photos when I found the dress (the day-of photos didn’t capture my dress like I thought the photographer would).  My biggest piece of advice (if you’re asking): chose your photographer wisely and be very clear about the photos you envision.Thank you, Lori, Jess, and everyone at Bliss Bridal.  Anthony and I had the most perfect day on 9/24/21!
