The Bliss Bridal Story
When I went shopping for my bridal gown…
I had a vision of my dream dress and dream wedding. Social media didn’t exist. I entered a local bridal shop without an APPOINTMENT! “What? No appointment?”
There was no looking – not a step was allowed beyond the reception area. I obediently made an appointment to return. “This IS our busiest time of year you know”, exclaimed the bridal attendant. I left the salon feeling chastised and a little disheartened.
With anticipation and excitement, I arrived promptly for my appointment two weeks later. With little introduction, I was ushered into a dressing room and asked to disrobe in front of a complete stranger.
Perhaps a little more eye contact or conversation would have been helpful… but on came the gowns. Beautiful, silk, lace, organza. All without labels and tags (sigh). And, as the sign on the wall stated, “NO PICTURES allowed”.
In spite of it all, I did find a dress and it was beautiful. But I left the salon feeling slightly disenchanted. The experience was not at all what I envisioned.
So… Bliss was born!
My mission for Bliss is that each and every bride feels welcome, respected and comfortable. I want her gown shopping experience to be as special and memorable as her big day!
